The weather has been foggy, rainy, dreary and “cold.” Well, cold for Houston. This always seems to happen when I come home. I expect a break from the cold and the snow and want to come to the warm and sun, but here I am… oh well. I am not letting it ruin my fun!
Like yesterday, I went out in the rain and went for a run. It felt so good to get back on the pavement. I ran a quick 5K just to get back into the swing of things. The time is getting close to start training for my first half marathon! I’m nervous and kind of confused. Confused because the Boulder Half that I was going to run, but the company seems to be having problems and does not have a date set… I’m thinking though that I will sign up for the Colfax Half Marathon in Denver. I read about it in my favorite magazine Runner’s World and it seems to be a good course.
After a workout, I always love sipping on a protein smoothie. Today, after starting P90X3 (so excited about this–it was everything I had hoped), I made a Chocolate Pomegranate Smoothie.
♦ 1 scoop Vega Choc-a-lot Protein Smoothie
♦ ¼ cup pomegranate seeds
♦ 8 oz. water
♦ crushed ice
Just blend in a blender and serve.

After P90X3 and my smoothie, I went on a walk with my mom and puppies.
Watson and I just so happened to match hehe…
Like I said, winter in Houston is not much of a “winter” after Colorado living.
You don’t see an orange tree in Fort Collins in the middle of December… I hope your winter is not too bone chilling!
